As you can see from the video above – exciting conversations are happening around lifelong learning!
Rodney K. Rogers, Ph.D., president of Bowling Green State University (BGSU), will deliver the opening keynote at the 2025 ABET Symposium, taking place April 3-4 in San Diego, California in the United States.
Rogers has shown leadership in implementing lifelong learning, the theme for this year’s event, by fostering continuous education initiatives and professional growth opportunities. Since assuming the presidency at BGSU in 2018, he has led the university to record enrollments, expanded faculty research, and launched innovative academic programs in healthcare and STEM fields.
“Dr. Rogers has dedicated his career to expanding educational opportunities and equipping learners with the skills they need to succeed,” ABET CEO Michael K. J. Milligan, Ph.D., said. “His insights will inspire future problem solvers to tackle the challenges ahead, and his own journey is a model for continuous learning.”
Rogers holds a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University, an MBA from BGSU, and a bachelor’s degree in music from Ohio Northern University. Before earning his doctorate, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant for a decade and held leadership and teaching roles at Portland State University, Case Western Reserve and Thunderbird School of Global Management.
