ABET is thrilled to announce it has strengthened its commitment to sustainability by joining the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
The UN Global Compact requires its participants to be committed to conducting business within the UN’s Ten Principles, with a focus on:
- Human Rights
- Labor
- Environmental Practices
- Anti-Corruption
By participating in the UN Global Compact, we are joining over 17,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatories across 160 countries, all dedicated to taking actions that advance societal goals in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Our successful application is a direct recognition of our unique commitment and ability to provide confidence in STEM programs around the world and supports one of our new Strategic Objectives: broadening our engagement globally. As a participant of the UN Global Compact, we will continue our work to build a better world – one that is safer, more efficient, more inclusive and more sustainable.
